Born During Black History Month, With a Name to Match, Keke Palmer Welcomed Her First Child
The mother of Keke Palmer! Leodis Andrellton Jackson, a baby boy born to the 29-year-old actor and her fiancé Darius Jackson on February 25, was announced by Palmer on Instagram on Monday.
Palmer shared photographs of her son’s early days with her followers, writing: “With a name to match, I was born in Black History Month! Welcome to the world, Leo, little one, LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON.” “The infant love Rolling Ray, cuz purrr,” she continued.
Palmer and Jackson initially crossed paths in May 2021, and they soon started dating. Although the couple tries to keep their relationship out of the public eye, Palmer shocked fans in December 2022 when she presented “Saturday Night Live” and revealed that she was pregnant. Keke addressed the rumors that were circulating at the time, saying, “There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a kid, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I want to set the record right – I am!” She then unzipped her jacket, showing the throng her expanding tummy.
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on 25 Jan., Palmer discussed her baby’s astrological sign with host Jimmy Fallon. “My baby is either going to be a Pisces or an Aries,” she said, teasing that the baby would arrive sometime in the late winter or early spring. Palmer added, “Pisces are known to be very deep, they’re emotional creatures, so I just want to make sure I’m not too blunt for my baby boy.” Well, it looks like baby Leo is officially a Pisces!
