The Jacksonville men’s basketball team got a surprise when they returned home from Saturday’s game at Central Arkansas, as new black alternate uniforms awaited the players at baggage claim.

This appears to be the first time since the early 2000s that the Dolphins will wear black uniforms, with the latest version set to make its debut in Thursday’s River City Rumble matchup with North Florida, which tips off at 7 p.m. ET.

It was fitting that the uniforms were revealed at Jacksonville International Airport, as the jerseys feature a white “JAX” wordmark across the chest along with forest green numbers, which are both outlined in lime green.

The Dolphins have been hinting at the use of lime green – which can also been seen on the collar and arm holes – in some fashion with their social media graphics since the beginning of the season.

It’s unclear at this time what the shorts look like, though the promo photos below show a lime green stripe down the sides.
