The most recent item from Ed Sheeran is not an album, but rather his own line of spicy sauce. It is known as “Tingly Ted’s” and is available in two varieties: “Tingly” and “Xtra Tingly.”
Sheeran stated, “I wanted to create a sauce that took the same pride of place as ketchup. I spent a year narrowing down the ideal flavors with a fantastic blending crew, and we chose two absolutely belters… I’m actually delighted to release this product because I use it every day on all three meals.
Breakfast with spicy sauce? To us, that sounds like a bad habit. Yet it’s only the most recent illustration of a musician’s brand extension.
Having said that, Sheeran is not the only artist to investigate this particular product. Even the Village Voice assembled “the 17 hottest heavy metal hot sauces” for a taste test back in 2015.
Whether “Tingly Ted’s” musical abilities can compete with those of former Guns’n’Roses guitarist Bumblefoot’s “Abnormal” (“What is this aftertaste? Road 71 was scraped by an armadillo. Why the hell not? The Village Voice’s reviewer questioned, “How is this even food?,” but for £6 each, we believe he’ll sell a lot more bottles.
