According to officials, Prince Harry will go to his father’s coronation next month while Meghan, the duchess of Sussex, will stay in California with the couple’s two kids.
The couple’s participation in King Charles’ coronation was anything from routine following their contentious announcement three years prior “that they would step down as’senior’ members of the royal family.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s spokespeople and Buckingham Palace both released statements affirming their participation at the coronation on May 6 at Westminster Abbey.

The couple’s attendance at King Charles’ coronation was anything but ordinary after their divisive announcement three years earlier “that they would step down as’senior’ members of the royal family.”
Both the spokespeople for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Buckingham Palace issued statements reiterating their attendance for the coronation on May 6 at Westminster Abbey.
